Farewell sweet scoot....

We sold the orange scooter :(.  The streets of SLC aren't the same as the ones in Rexburg.  Ahh, I miss the maximum speed limit being 25 mph.
Farewell sweet scooter, we loved you.

23 Weeks!

Ugg, embarrassing selfies.

How far along: 23 weeks

Size of baby:  an ear of corn

Total weight gain/loss:  +7 pounds!

Maternity clothes:  Yes. I really like full panel maternity pants!

Stretch marks: No!  Coconut oil all day every day, but I have a feeling they will be in full force at some point.

Sleep:  The worst. Pregnancy pillow is helping, but I am having the worst nightmares.

Best moment(s) last week:  Sitting throughout sacrament meeting while Shane and I each have our hands on my tummy feeling this baby boy move!  We are grinning from ear to ear.

Movement:  Yes!  He is moving so much.  He's gotten his hand or foot caught up in my ribs once or twice.  It's fun to see how much stronger he gets each week.

Food cravings:  SUBWAY.  I can pack a foot long.  not joking.

Gender:  BOY!

Belly button - in or out:  In... half way.  The top part couldn't hold itself in any more and so i'm an half innie, half outtie right now.

What I miss:  Feeling less achey.  By 5 pm my back is killing me and my crotch hurts.  It's really great.

What I am looking forward to:  Going to Rexburg this weekend!

Milestones:  I'm officially starting my 6th month of pregnancy!

infertile myrtle updates

So this morning at 9am I went to the hospital to have a trans-vaginal ultrasound follicle study.  It sounds a lot scarier than it is.  All we wanted to do was see if anything is happening in there while i'm taking these injections!  I was so nervous because I didn't know what to expect.  I wanted something to happen but then at the same time I didn't' want something to happen.  If I overstimulated then my injection days were over and then my only option would be in vitro- which is super expensive so we'd have to wait a little while.  And if nothing happened then I could always up my dose.  BUT I just wanted it to work this time!

So I went in and anxiously awaited the phone call from my doctor.  They had to take the ultrasound images and look at it to assess what they saw.  I got a call that there was a happy, active follicle!  I was so happy!  I've never ovulated so actually having someone tell me that there is a follicle that could be a potential baby made me so happy!  My doc wants to see a few more follicles so... that means more injections tonight and on Wednesday.  I have to remember, just because i have a follicle doesn't mean that it for sure will turn into a fetus, but we're a lot farther than we were before!

On Thursday i'll go in for another follicle study and then we'll see what will happen!

In other news, we went to Rexburg this weekend to see our good friend graduate!  Shane got a haircut and Poppy made a friend- Bauer Woodhouse!

My nieces are the cutest... and this is what our babies are going to look like....  ?!W#$^%^

Idaho

Shane and I only have a few more months of college left- I’m nervous and excited at the same time.  I'm nervous because I love my apartment.  I've spent a lot of time decorating it, and Shane and I have lots of happy memories here.  I'm nervous because my best friends are here.  I love my married friends and don't want to leave them.  I'm nervous because Shane and I have to "grow up" and get big people jobs.  What if we didn't learn enough, or, what if we're not good enough?  Scary.  I'm nervous because I don't know where we will be in a few months.  Shane could get a job anywhere, ANYWHERE!

I'm excited because Shane is a smart cookie.  He does all that web development coding jargon that makes no sense, so he has to get a good job... right?  I'm excited because we get to leave Rexburg. (Don’t get me wrong, I love Rexburg… but it’s time to move on) I'm excited to start a new adventure; maybe Shane will get a job in Ethiopia... then I can adopt babies like Angelina.

I think I just need to start thinking only about the exciting things because I’m already so nervous I’m making myself sick.
Change is good.
